The situation

A fitness creator with 480K followers woke up to a disabled account and a notice naming impersonation. The likely trigger: a wave of fake fan pages had been reported around the same period, and the enforcement swept up the real account with the copies.

What the client had tried

Three in-app appeals over two weeks, each rejected within minutes. One Help Center form, filed under the wrong category, which never received a response. By the time she reached us she was being quoted 4,000 dollars by a Telegram “insider” service, which is the point where many people get scammed a second time.

What we did

  1. Re-framed the case as mistaken identity in an impersonation sweep, with the fake pages documented as context.
  2. Prepared the identity verification package correctly: government ID matching the account’s registered name, plus press features establishing her as the real public figure.
  3. Filed once, through the channel that routes impersonation disputes to human review, and tracked the case daily.

Outcome and timeline

Human review confirmed the account belonged to the real person. Restored on day nine, with all followers and content intact. The fake pages were reported through the proper channel afterward, which is the order that avoids tripping the same sweep twice.
